Review of Zhivaya Sila dog food
Zhivaya Sila dry food for dogs is produced in Russia. Official site – http://jj-sila.ru/ , it contains the most important information (composition of all feed lines, recommended feeding rates). This feed is positioned as a holistic, but we classify it as a super-premium class, and some options are even premium.
There are two lines of this brand of food – JJ-SPORT and “Bud Zdorov”. The quality of the composition is approximately the same.
The composition of the feed “Zhivaya Sila”
Let us consider the composition of the Zhivaya Sila feed using the example of the Ocean variant from the Be Zdorov line:

In the first ingredient, the manufacturer has combined fresh ocean salmon, chum salmon and pink salmon; at least 30% has been specified together. These ingredients, as well as the Far Eastern herring located further, dehydrated sea white fish (cod, mackerel, flounder, sprat, pollock) 15% are protein sources. There are no ingredients rich in vegetable protein, which means that most of the 25% indicated in the analysis are of animal origin.
Anchovy oil, fish oil, sunflower oil are sources of fats and fatty acids. Kuban rice is a source of carbohydrates. The presence of rice no longer allows the feed to be classified as holistic (according to the criteria of the PetObzor website). In some variants, corn is substituted for rice, which is worse.
Dill, parsley, syldirium, dried alfalfa, flax seeds, fresh apples, fresh parsnips, fresh carrots are sources of fiber. Although they also contain various useful substances (for example, flax seeds are rich in unsaturated fatty acids).
Rosemary is a natural antioxidant. Astragalus extract – it is not known for what purpose it was added (Astragalus is a medicinal plant). Yucca Shidigera Extract – Reduces the odor of excrement. Miko Carb is a preservative and is considered harmless.
Grape seed extract is a source of antioxidants. Laminaria is rich in iodine and other beneficial substances. Vitamin-mineral complex (Mealbery) – food supplement of vitamins and minerals. Also after the composition it is written that the source of glucosamine and chondroitin is freshly ground cattle cartilage.
Pros and cons
The advantages of the feed can be considered:
- the main source of protein is meat and fish ingredients;
- good content of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients;
- the price is lower than many analogues (in terms of composition).
The disadvantages can be considered:
- some feed options contain corn, which is less digestible than rice (therefore, they cannot be classified as super premium);
- not widespread.
Food for dogs “Zhivaya Sila” – reviews

The puppy at the age of 5 months began to feed with “Living Force”, before that both “One Only” and “Monge” were tried, gasses and allergies were worried. The puppy has good stools from Jung s and Okean s fodders, the dog is playful, active, the coat is shiny. I advise you to all dog lovers on the site. I noticed that many on the Canadian feed “Go”, so the composition of the “Living Power” is exactly the same, only it does not hit the wallet (compare yourself)!

I have a dog of the Kurzhar breed. He is fastidious in food. I already bought different feeds, but everything is not right for her. There is no appetite for dry food. By chance I saw on the Internet an offer of this food, Zhivaya Strength. I read the composition, I liked it, like everything is natural and healthy. Production in St. Petersburg. I chose the Fitness food. To my surprise, the dog ate the whole cup, eagerly. And the next day too. In general, so far everyone is happy.
